About us

Our Focus is on you!

At Hadlow and Trehy, we know that our clients want their accountant to be available when they're needed. That is why our focus is not on being the BIGGEST, but giving the best service.  Too often larger accounting practices lose that personal touch with their clients, which is so important in a trusting business relationship.

So we undertake to put you and your business first. We guarantee to return your phonecalls and emails promptly (almost always the same day, or next business day if that's not possible!), so you're never left hanging. You will always get our undivided attention when you call, and prompt efficient service in all of our dealings with you.

About The Director

Mike Trehy | B Fin Admin, CA, FTIA

Mike started his career in Armidale, country NSW in 1991, working as an accountant at one of Australia’s largest regional accounting practices.  Having graduated from the University of New England with a Bachelor of Financial Administration, he qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1995, before progressing to Principal. He is also a Fellow of the Taxation Institute of Australia and a Registered Tax Agent. He moved to Sydney in 2005, working at a suburban practice in Caringbah for 2 years before establishing Hadlow and Trehy in July 2008.

Mike's professional interest lies in the relationships he builds with his clients. He excels at conveying business and taxation advice in a simple and down to earth manner. His experience covers all aspects of running small to medium sized businesses including taxation and accounting advice, business plans, acquisitions and sales, cash flow budgetting and forecasting, and business development and growth strategies.

Mike's experience ranges from smaller rural industries to larger corporate retailers, wholesalers and manufacturers. He also has extensive experience with medical and health industry professionals.

Mike has now made his home in Gymea Bay in the Sutherland Shire. Sadly, he has been a passionate Cronulla Sharks supporter all his life.
